Philadelphia Author to Release Four Part Mystery Series
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 6, 2010 – Author Lawrence Johnson Sr. is better known for his science fiction novel Escape 2 Earth and his short stories that relate to the novel. He is now venturing into the writing world of crime and mysteries.
This author is no stranger to investigative writing. His science fiction novella Murder on the Eros Star features an Intergalactic Detective by the name of Da’Quan. His upcoming mini-series entitled, The Case of the Death Dealer: An Alexander Steele Investigation will follow the story of retired private detective Alexander Steele. Steele will come out of retirement to solve a murder only to learn that he must take on the case to prevent mass murder from occurring just not his hometown of Philadelphia, but along the east coast.
“Alexander Steele is a creation all of my own, but there are some side characters in the story that I’ve based on people I knew growing up in Wilson Park. They were really smart guys, they just happened to live in the hood.” Johnson recounts his youth growing up during the 60s and 70s.
The Case of the Death Dealer will be released on several outlets for maximum exposure. Johnson’s blog, web site, facebook and myspace are just a few places were a new part of the series will be released every Thursday starting July 8.
While growing up in South Philadelphia, from Lawrence has been a fan of science fiction and mystery. He enjoys CSI, Sherlock Holmes, 24, Leverage and Burn Notice. He is currently finishing the first Alexander Steele novel entitled Blackout.
